Investigate slow searches, dashboards, order lookups, or operational reports with a focused SQL performance assessment. For e-commerce businesses, SaaS companies, and operations teams that need evidence about a database bottleneck and practical recommendations on what to improve first. Supported databases: PostgreSQL and MySQL. Microsoft SQL Server and BigQuery requests may be considered after a separate technical feasibility and scope review. Scope: ONE agreed business-critical SQL query or one tightly related query workflow, such as order search, transaction history retrieval, fulfillment queues, or an operational report, including relevant tables, joins, filters, aggregations, indexes, and database execution behavior. The assessment follows relationships across supporting tables as necessary, but is NOT a full database, application, or infrastructure performance audit. Final scope and pricing are confirmed before work begins. Review process: (1) Confirm the slow query, affected business task, database version, symptoms, and performance goal; (2) review SQL, schema, relevant indexes, execution plans, statistics, and sanitized performance evidence; (3) investigate costly scans, joins, cardinality, filters, aggregations, or redundant processing; (4) recommend candidate query and/or index improvements, validating output equivalence and comparing performance in an authorized safe environment where possible; (5) deliver a professional PDF report with evidence, risks, practical recommendations, and prioritized next steps. What I need: The original SQL query, its intended result, database engine/version, relevant schema/index definitions, approximate data volumes, existing EXPLAIN or EXPLAIN ANALYZE plans and timing/usage metrics if available. Optional authorized read-only access to a test or staging database may help validate improvements. Please remove secrets, credentials, proprietary identifiers where unnecessary, and personal/customer data. Confidential materials will not be sent to third-party AI tools without prior approval. Delivery: Usually 3–5 business days after scope approval and receipt of required materials. One report clarification round is included. Assessment only: No changes to production databases, index deployment, application code changes, ongoing database administration, broad-scale load testing, or guaranteed speed/cost reduction. Measured before-and-after results depend on the availability of suitable benchmarks and safe test access. Without such evidence, recommendations are clearly identified as unvalidated.
